Based in Indianapolis, we have a deep understanding of audit requirements, federal and state taxes, Indiana political subdivisions, local economies, and regulatory structure.

Principal Functions

The Utility Rate Accountant is responsible for preparing, overseeing, and assisting the staff in the preparation of various reports and / or documents associated with the preparation of any utility rate analysis for municipal or not-for-profit utilities.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following

• Knows and understands the firm’s policies and procedures
• Effectively performs utility rate analysis
• Manages client projects with minimal supervision
• Responds to client inquiries as necessary
• Prepares reports related to utility rates
• Works with the members of the firm related to associated debt financing

Education and / or experience

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college in accounting, finance, or other related field.  Minimum of two years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Previous experience working in the field of utility ratemaking is desired.

Pay is commensurate with education and experience.
